Default Tire Size and Spacer Question

We have a 1997 Sport, all stock. I believe it has 225x75R19's on it but my daughter isn't home for me to check, but that is the stock size.

So I'm going to buy some BFG All Terrains, they're 235x75R16 which is a little wider and they come on these very nice rims that have a 6" backspace.

Are they going to rub?

Thanx

Do you have a lift? They are wider arena taller. You'll rub all over the wheel well at stock height.

I just found this site, it's telling me they're only a .59" taller and if you divide that in half because that height is divided from the center out we're only talking barely 1/4" difference?

Go back read your post. You said you were getting 16 inch wheels. Your fine. 235s are basically the new stock size

As stated above if the XJ is stock it has a 15" wheel on it.
