i work at discount tires, it will not ruin the tires and it give you more traction, im going to sipe mine this weekend im thinking. if you dont trust yourself with a razor blade go to a discount tire or a local tire shop and get them siped, its like 10 bucks a tire i think. and its totally worth it!

I used a razor blade once. Did one tire and then got lazy and didn't do the other three.
I used a regular razor as shown in the picture and also a torch. Every couple sipes i would torch the razor red hot and it cuts like "i can't believe it's not butter!".
