I have BFG's on my wifes 04 Wrangler Unlimited. Best tire I have ever had.
Had a set of Kuhmos on the Cherokee 235/70/15 and had over 80k miles on them. Very good tire considering price. Had a D load rating.

Been wheeling for thirty years, and have owned about everything worth having. BFG's in an overall sense, be it AT or MT get my vote. However, I think all tire prices pretty much suk. This time around I bought Treadwright retreads. When I ordered them I specifically asked for the BFG carcass and MT tread pattern, so I would be guranteed a 3 ply sidewall.

Upon arrival I noticed they were new enough that the type was the AT-KO.
Sweet, they have the wheel protecotr rib that I didn't even know existed.
Granted this was a 31x10.50 size but they balanced out very nicely. 2 3/4 oz, 1 1/2 oz, 3/4 oz, and 1/4 oz.

It's too early to say if I would buy them again, but so far after a couple of weeks, I'm happy

Another option, other than BFG, is the General Grabber AT2. It's a new tire with similar characteristics as the bfg and has good reviews. About $105 per 31" tire. Not too bad!

Pictures? I'm curious about those tires. I almost bought a set but ended up with Trxus MT's instead.

i have seen (on teh internets) the tread coming off of retreads. this was a few isolated cases, but for the money heck, ill try them, i hear the service from hi tech retreads is pretty good too and they will replace the tire if you encounter that problem.

Again unless the Jeep is trail only stay away from retreads. They cant stand the highway speeds very long. Just from large truck experience.
