Default Tinting my fronts

So me and my buddy's are lookin to tint our front windows kuz, to be perfectly honest, we have nothin better to do :P

Now they drive pick ups but i'm askin this question about my XJ in particular. Has anyone tinted their front windows (driver/passenger; not windsheild) on their own? or, better yet, anyone know where i can find a write up or a "how to" on doin it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

i tintid my windows in my first truck. when i got my tint it had instructions on the box. it was really easy if u have to people. all u do is clean the window get cut out a piece of tint close to the rite size. then get a spray bottle and put about an ounce of baby shampo in and fill it with water. spray the window pull the back off the tint and slowly put it on. then take a squeegy and work all the bubbles out and trim it up. make sure and read the box but i think thats all there was to it

make sure you get "GOOD" tint not the cheap crap they sell at wally world, That stuff doesnt last long and it scratches easy. I bought Quality tint off ebay and it was just a few bucks more but its thicker and last longer. I have tinted almost all my cars windows and the cheap tint on my first car got scratched so I bought a 100' roll from ebay for around 50.00 or so.

I know in Colorado it's illegal to have your front window tinted. You can ting the rest but make sure you check your local legal limits. I had the windows on my Toy Corolla tinted a little to dark and kept getting pulled over for it.

35% is typically the darkest legally. But there is a site that has specific state laws.

Well im probably just gonna take it to a shop an get it done wednsday for $60(10%) just my front two the rest are already tinted. but cant decide between that, a 60" hi-lift, new shocks so i can put my 3" of extra lift on, or get 1 of my subs fixed... so we will see

You can check you tint laws here WWW.TintLaws.COM
