I replaced the distributor in my 94 4.0 & it will start 7 run normally for about 30 seconds, then just shuts off like someone turned off the key. It will start right back up, then do it again. I checked my timing with a light & at idle its reading clear off the timing tab, like 40-50 degrees BTDC. I would like to know what it should read also, & what can cause this issue? The ECM controls timing , I believe, so why would to advance it 40-50 degrees at idle? Any help would be great!
