while i was coming to work this morning, my jeep seems to have developed a trans prob. was going about 65 then rpms jumped to 3k plus and stayed as i dropped to 55 or less. engine revs high now but still goes? what do you guys think? still real new to the game but learning and good with the hands. Oh yeah, it is an AW4 with about 165k filter replaced about 5 months ago.

 

found the issue. on the way home from work i noticed that i did have all the gears but it wouldn't shift down and it would shift too early,making passing or just giving it some gas to go faster than 45 slow. got home and checked the kick down cable and noticed it had slipped. adjusted accordingly and my jeep has once again found its *****. now i will still have the money to start building the rock sliders hopefully this weekend. i think the cause was ice on the cable or something. yeah i know, end of april, but we had a cold front come to town and everything was iced up this morning, and i put a hood vent right over the throttle body getting it wet with the night's rain.
