Time for new shocks...Bilsteins anyone?
The shocks I'm running right now are used RCs that I got for free. They are still "good" but a lil too rough for my liking. This time around I wanna put a little more money into the shock department and I've been lookin at Bilstein 5150s mostly. I haven't read one bad review about them and they sound like they perform great. I don't do much wheelin anymore but I do daily drive this heep so I want somethin that's smooth.
I have right around 6.5" of lift and am probably gonna go with the 12" travels with 255/70 valving in the front. I'm a little confused about the rear though. I wanna run 5150s in the back too but am not sure whether to go with 8" or 10" travel. I haven't measured the rear at flex to figure out the measurements though. Some input from people who run them in front and back would be sweet. Thanks guys.
Oh and a lil info about my jeep as reference point...6.5" lift on 32s or 35s, short arms, trimmed and no bumpstops YET. With IRO front and rear bpe's. And I'll probably be ordering the stud mount conversion thing for the top of the shock.

I think your gonna find that the 12" travel is too much for your rig. I run the 10" 5150 with LA's and it's just about perfect.
On a street mainly rig consider the 5100's.. you shouldnt need the add'l, reservoir the 5150's give without alot of suspension movement.
Measure your shock length at ride heaight and compare to the specs on the 12" travel..

you have to measure the front and rear flex to make sure you are getting the correct length shocks. to much $$ involved to just guess
