Anyone ever tighten your steering wheel? i've got alot of play when im turning it almost like i have 360degree tilt... the steering is fine but its super loose and wigly, the last owner replaced the steering wheel with a cj one so i dont even know how to take it off at this point.

Have to remove the horn button (usually Jeeps just pop-off)
In the center there is a 7/8 or 15/16" nut Just tighten it up and re-install the horn button.

If it it tight and the top portion of the column moves...you will have to dive deeper.

I would suggest getting an XJ wheel. Not 100% positive that the CJ wheel is compatible with the XJ column. Someone else with more experience with this could chime in here.

The shaft and splines are the same as a CJ since they were both sourced from GM until 91 or 92. The slop can be numerous things. I think you are refering to up and down slop not left to right slop. If I am correct then you may have to go with either an XJ wheel or a aftermarket wheel and adapter. If you are refering to the tilt machanism then a whole new (junkyard) column would be easier and cheaper to fix your problem.

Its got the right/left wobble, its not too bad i mean i can still drive it no problem, but its kinda annoying. I was hoping it was a bolt, i found there are a few screws on the bottom of the case.
