Default Tie Rod End

So Ive been having a bit of clicking going on in the front end of my Jeep thinking it was time for the universals to be changed, I since descovered it was a loose tie rod end, so I undid it to see if it was damaged or anything and I discover that the thing ant even fingure tight.
So Ive tightened it back up but the split pin ant anywhere close to the crown bolt to stop it from loosening

Whats the best way to go about this guys?
