thumping sound?

thumping sound?
When i am at a stop and i accelerate i get a thumping sound sound like its coming from the front passenger side of the jeep. The thumping sound stops after i get into high 2nd gear. It feel like i have a flat on my front pass. Tire but thats obviously not the problem. 96 xj auto
