throttlebody

Default throttlebody

HI,

I remove the throttlebody clean it with carb cleaner and a small nylon brush after I replace throttlebody it cranks over but won't start ?Everything is new cap, rotor, pickup coil, plug wires sparkplugs and it was running fine before clean the throttlebody.

make sure everything is conected and im sure you already did but it should run, did you do anything else to it?

^ unless you unhooked something that you don't know about thats in the immediate area theres not much to it so it should run.

I pour gas in throttlebody and it start up but can not adjust the TPS

Go over everything you touched in the tune-up, again. You most likely left something disconnected that you shouldn't have. I.E. a wire or vacuum line. Check over your TB and make sure it's secure, all wiring is tight and connected, All vacuum lines tight. Make sure IAC and TPS are tight, plugged in and adjusted correctly.

I think my problem is TPS? I can not control the RPM's their high and found that my gas return line is leaking some could this effect the starting process

Both of the things you mentioned will effect the way the Jeep runs.

IAC would cause this problem or the TPS, also you shouldnt have touched it but check the CPS that could cause this problem too

What lifes span of tps and iac motor? and can they by bought after market than rather than OEM Mopar

they can last for 20 years or 2 years theres no set limit

pull the batter cable and reset ECM...
