I have a 99 XJ with about 234k and steering not as tight as it should be. I checked the tie rods and i can turn the bar and the bushings on the tie rod ends collapse so just wondering if thats normal or not. Also when greasing the grease just comes out of them.

Also the ABS light is on and come to find out my rear end has been replaced by PO to the Chrysler 8.25 from what i can tell. Is there anyway to turn the light off w/o taking the cluster out and taking the light?

Also I dont do any wheelen even tho its a 4X4 but im looking to preserve/restore it cause nothing beats a classic XJ just love the looks of them and they are slim to none here in my part of Iowa. at least i dont see many on the road, there all Grand CHerokees.
