Newbie
The thermostat housing bolts are 1 inch and 2 1/4 inch long.
The diameter of the shaft is 5/16"
Thread pitch is 18.
Hex head uses 1/2" socket size not 13mm...(12mm, 1/2", 13mm)
Lowe's has the 1 inch fully threaded in stainless steel 18-8 but good luck finding a fully threaded 5/16" - 18, stainless 18-8, 2 1/4 long hex bolt without buying in bulk. My thought is stainless steel may not rust as bad as the OEM bolts but I just need one bolt......

If there are other engine bolts, motor mount bolts, etc that you want stainless steel, check out totallystainless.com catalogue. I think their engine bolt kit contains stainless steel thermostat bolts if you are intending to replace your main rear seal as well as timing gears and chain, valve cover gasket, replacing rusty oil pan bolts, etc.
