Default Thermostat Help!!!!!
I put in 180 deg. thermostat on my 98 XJ but the running temp. is between 210-213 is this normal?

I beleive that 190 to 210 is the normal operating range.

I just put in a 180 myself and now find my 2000 XJ running about 200 steady.

OEM is a 195 therm at 210. Sounds like you need a coolant flush and check to make sure your electric fan is comming on.

Before the 180 stat I was running to cool but now it stays at the 210ish mark.
When should the elictric fan kick in?
