Hey guys, just did my T-stat today,went well. simple project but it can get frustrating if you dot finesse it and keep your composure.
*the trick is that the second bold (below and left of the upper) is the the same horizontal plane as the serpentine belt*
I kept my belt on and just pushed down a little on the belt with the rachet head to grip the bolt
*this works, but it adds the FML factor to resoring the housing, and you get enging grease ALLLLLLLL over 1 part of your belt (I did get a bit of belt squeal because of this)*
Removing the belt would take much longer, but if you were to time these two projects the thermostat would be cake!

 

I admit that this isnt everything you need to know, but im tired aftermaking those arrowns and crap. I will ansewer anyones questions
