Are you familiar with what atomized anti-freeze smells like. I'm not being a smart a s s or insulting your intelligence but, the smell you're refering to sounds to me like the smell you get inside, when you crank the heat, and your heater core has a leak in it.

Could somebody possibly be playing a joke on you and put a stink bomb of sorts in your heater ducting, somewhere?

i was thought maybe an animal or something crawled in there but its more a chemical burning smell, might be a stink bomb, i dont know
Does it happen with the A/C as well? If so, it sounds like you have a mold issue in the ducts. You can use Lysol (any scent) and spray into the vents. Also, I can't remember off hand if there is an intake vent outside where the windshield meets the hood, it there hook that up with lots of Lysol. By doing this you not only get a better ride, but the Lysol kills bacteria and mold and could possibly be causing your stink.
Sounds weird... but...
Mold grows fast when its humid.. if you use the circulate function instead of the outside air function alot you will get mold... horrible... horrible smell when you heat it up, id disenfect? im pretty sure there is a cleaner made for that. ill post if i can find it.

I pulled a dead rat out of a heater blower fan just the other day on a Toyota. Stunk like hell. Over the years, I seen plenty of rats and mice find their way into the heater ducting only to die there. While working at the dealer, I once tore apart an entire Mercedes dash to clean it out. Rats had stuffed dry dogfood into virtually nook and cranny up in there. What a mess.
I am going through a similar problem. When i use the heat, it smells very funny and i get really sick. I can taste something funny in the air, i get a headache, and my lips go numb. It's so weird, and kinda scary enough for me not to use the heat. I am thinking i have a heater core leak. It could be mold but that wouldn't make me sick within 5 minutes of using the heat.
