My '96 seems to run cool. around 160-180. I thought the 4.0 were suppose to run around 210? Also randomly when I stop moving and park, the radiator deciedes to spit out a 1/2 gallon to a gallon of fluid from what looks like around the cap area. I have already replaced the cap twice. Any thoughts?

160-180 is definitely low. Should be 210.
It could be a bad gauge/sensor and you're actually overheating (which would explain both the reading and the boil over.) Use an infrared thermometer on the hoses to see what temperature they are and verify that against the gauge.
Also, check the thermostat... it may be stuck.

Thanks for the reply, I had a feeling the guage could be suspect as my stock one is broke and and this is an aftermarket. I have replaced the sensor before and I just did the T-stat. I'lll have to try the infrared thermo.

Even if it is overheating, it shouldn't be spewing coolant at the rad cap....coolant should pass from the rad to the recovery bottle, via the rubber tube, so it can be drawn back into the rad as the motor cools. Neck of rad could be cracked, tube plugged or bad.
