i recently put a engine in a 88 jeep cherokee out of another 88...before i pulled the moter out of the other 88 it ran at about 210 and didnt really have overheating problems..and now that its in this my new jeep its running at like 150 to 160 range. i think operating temp for a reg car is 180 to 210 idk why mine is running so low?what do yall think

 

i would try a new thermostat

 

ive had it apart and it didnt look rusted up or anything. i mean i didnt test it or anything tho..but y would it be low if it was the thermo..it would run hot wouldnt it?

could happen, its a easy thing to replace to check, mine went out after having it less than a year, it was overheating and there was a big air bubble in the top coolant line that wouldnt leave, we pulled the old one out, it actually looked cleaner and nicer than the new one we bought, and as soon as we got the new one in it ran perfect. looks can be deceiving :P
