So my temp gauge needle has been wobbling between 0 and 50%. It's been doing this for months. It doesn't ALWAYS do it (maybe when the planets are aligned), but when it does, it's in 3rd and 4th gear only (auto). That's the head scratcher. Only in the two highest gears.

And when I mean wobbling, I mean SPASTIC wobbling. Like a seizure. Like this --> except not in rhythm. Similar to the oil pressure gauge wobble if any of you have experienced that. My last XJ had that.

My bet is that it's electrical, but that's a lot of wiring to get opened up to trace. I'll check behind the cluster to make sure everything's tight when I've got time. This is my daily. I've googled around for weeks trying to figure this out, so I thought maybe I should just start a topic. Any ideas?
