Default Temp fixes: How to get use of wipers until can replace ignition switch?

Hey folks!
I've done the research and realise I need to replace the ignition switch.
Problem: No wipers, blinkers, heater or radio in key "On" position. Though it seems random, sometimes works, most times not, though it does always work in "Accessory" position (what good that does). It's a relatively new problem that's developed within last few days. The issue is not in replacing the switch, I can do that once I'm at a location where I can visit a junk yard or parts store.

My problem is that I use the vehicle for work and at times I'm very remote ... lucky to skim an internet or cell signal.

Question: Is there anyway to temporarily enable the wipers to work while driving? Been getting doused a lot lately ... strange for desert. Jump a relay? Short a wire? etc. Strictly for emergency use purposes. Any ideas?

I believe the purple wire on the ignition switch needs a +12V for the wipers to work.

Thanks! I'll give that a try. I may have to do some "fixing" tonight as time allows. It's a b**** driving when yer view is through a muddy hole!

Rain-X works fine if it's just rain! It's all the other debris I run into that it does not deflect ha! Bugs, desert dirt, dust and clays. When wet it makes for fun travels. That and ... well ... there's not a vendor anywhere within the next 150 miles. Ha!

That looks similar to what I've had to do in last couple days! Minus rope ... add bungee cord. I'd stop along the trail ... switch into Accessory mode ... clean off muck ... truck along another few miles ... repeat procedure. I generally have to drive to a locale then park and hoof it (if without 4 wheelers) for job related activity. Most often we use a couple vehicles and "leap frog". That is, one crew parks their vehicle, hoofs it to location while the next crew does same a few miles up-road. Driver leave keys in a certain location so the crew following can access and leap frog to next point ... etc ... down the line. Problem is other crew folk complain about the particulars of operating said wipers. Ha! I love the Skunk Killer (given name of my vehicle)! She's never got stuck or been a problem ... other than current annoyance. Them complainers are just whimps. Ha!

Update: Lunch break. Hey! I popped the the wiper switch access cover off (behind steering wheel on column) and ran a jump wire (had a 10 gauge spool in the tool box) from the switch (center position connection and electrical tape) to an open "ign" spot on the fuse box. The wipers work with key in "On" position now and have full control (high/low/etc) ... funny thing is ... now the radio works as well. ??

I see you didn't happen to read the 1st post ...

I'm in the west ... wide open here. Work takes me places that don't even have a post office ... much less sell car parts. I'm about 90 miles (for work) from nearest town with a junk yard or Napa store. Thus ... the temp fix.
