Default Tech Questions- Help Please

Just bought a 1997 Up Country Cherokee. Runs great but has two issues that Ive noticed. First, the ABS light came on in the dash and wont go out. Any ideas on where to start diagnosing that one?

Secondly, it seems the power door locks keep trying to unlock the doors repeatedly without any door switch input. I finally pulled the fuse. Any ideas on that one too?

Appreciate any ideas.

Thanks,

Flash

for the ABS light, i would clean your wheel speed sensors, that is the common problem with ABS systems, and the power lock thing...i would pull the switches and make sure they are all clean, also my be a short somewhere

Will do. Is there anything else that would make an ABS light go on and stay on?

Thanks,

If the computer detects anything wrong with the abs system, it will turn that light on and throw a code. Get an OBD II reader.

For the locks, it is in a switch. I had this happen after it rained in a Subaru I used to own. I'd start with the master panel.
