Hi All
I have been told that Turbo Deisel rear leaf springs are higher strength than petrol 4.0L ones, is this true and how do I tell the differance?

they are either lower, or the same spring rate. the turbo diesel weighs less than a 4.0.
people who say that think "oh yeah, turbo diesel...means power. must be heavier duty" are just plain wrong. there's not much for power coming from these things.

In the UK the 2.5td XJs had an "upcountry" package so they sat an inch higher than the 4.0's. I've got diesel springs in the front of mine and the coils are thicker by 0.5mm.
Apart from any obvious label giving a part no, not much way to tell unless they're on a vehicle.
