Tcase removal instructions?!

The chitons book said to make sure you support the transmission but it says you can lower it to give better access to the bolts. I just don't know how low is too low

If it were me, I would just drop both driveshafts so you dont have to worry about to much strain on them. I can walk you through that if you need help. But if you want to do it with the shafts on I would try to keep them level maybe 3 or 4 inches below that. Just drop it down slow and listen for anything that might sound like it is binding or stressing.

Why cant you just put the tcase and trans in nuetral and spin the driveshaft to get the top 2 bolts off of it? Make the top bolts the bottom bolts! Or roll your jeep like 2 feet forward lol.
