Default tc drop=grease on floor?

have a 4.5 inch lift on back, working on the front tomorrow. did the tc drop at the end of the day and after i finished it, i noticed some grease in a clump on the floor...what might this have come from and should i be worried? it was located just forward of the transfer case. any ideas?

Slip joint on the front driveshaft maybe. Have you lubed it lately?

There should be a zerk fitting at the slip joint of the driveshaft. If the DS was full of grease, it could have been compressed a little when you were installing the rear lift and push the excess out. It would come out at the u-joint on the tcase.

No biggie for now if that is where it came from. When you finish the lift install take a few minutes and lube everything just for good maintenance. U-joints, tie rods, ball joints, etc.
