i have a 231 tc. the only kit to lower the gearing in it is the teralow, which is about 1200 bucks bc it is chain drivin. is there another GEAR driven tc (gear lowering kits cost less than chain kits) that i could get out of a junkyard that would match up to my tranny? Im looking to get a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio.

 

Nothing out of the junk yard. Whatever you do, it will cost you. The cheapest is mating another 231 planetary, but the adapter ain't cheap either

 

Never seen a 231 doubler but I'd love some info if anyone has some.
