so hi all and thanks for helpin.


my issue is on my 98 xj, the left front and rear running lights do not work, the right front and rear work fine, the fuses are all good and the rest of the lights work as they should. any ideas. its pretty much stock as of right now as the wife drives it to school so no real mods to speak of.

Check the wiring. Maybe even grounds.

 

Yep gonna need a volt meter and trace the wires and check the grounds...

look at http://www.greatlakesxj.com/tech.html for some wiring diagrams to help you trace it.

 

+1 - grounds are common to fail on your lights. Take a look at the bulb fixtures and make sure everything's tight and not corroded. A bad ground on on a single bulb can do some funky stuff with the rest of the wiring (example front and rear function)

That's also where I'd start.
