I recently purchased a 1996 XJ with a rebuilt motor. Everything runs fine and I have no issues thus far other than my Tach works when it wants to so it seems. It either works correctly, doesn't work at all or tries to. Would this be a speed sensor issue or faulty wiring? If this is or could be the issue where is the sensor located? Thanks for the insight in advance.
