I have a 88 Cherokee 4.0L 6 cylinder (inline). I'm having problems with me transmission and want to test the output speed sensor. I went under my car and I saw a couple of sensor down there. Which one is the sensor that I need to test.
Any help would be much appreciated. Pictures or illustration would be better.
Thanks

Its a two piece affair...
The rotor and magnet are the the output and the switch portion is mounted on the adapter if a 4wd or the extension housing if its a 2wd.
Its at the rear of the tranny, round and it is held in place by one bolt and a small bracket.
You have to spin the tranny output shaft to test it as it is supposed to pick up the signal when the magnet attached to the shaft passes the sensor.
