T-case interchangability
My buddy still needs a t-case for his 95 XJ. He has a friend who knows someone that has a 95 Wrangler, 4 cylinder, auto trans, NP231. that is tearing out the entire drivetrain and re-doing it. My question is will the t-case from the 95 Wrangler match up to my buddies 95 XJ no questions asked?? Also, will the front drive shaft match as well??
Thanks in advance!! LCFRJEEP:cheers: |
What transmission does this wrangler have? It might fit if the spline count is the same. I can't say for sure but you could look the part numbers up in the Factory parts catalog and see if they match.

If you can get the part number of the t-case tag and we can match it in the parts manual. Does the XJ have a t-case that's just bad? If so get that part# as well. By comparing them we could cross reference for computability.

Ok I will find out what the part numbers are. Thanks brother.

Anytime that's what we're here for..:)

it also matters what the input shaft length and spline counts are.
a 4cyl will have a 21 spl shaft if I recall and I am not sure what year the XJ's swapped from 21 spl to 23 spl. do your research because there is stuff you will NEED to know |
Also the Wrangler clocks the T-case different than the Cherokee... so it won't sit in the Jeep exactly the same way....
