Default SYE Installation

Is there a detailed write up on how to install a SYE on a 231 Transfer Case. I saw the one in the How To section. I just want to see if theres an even more detailed installation. Thanks for your help.

Procedure is the same, but fewer companies are offering SYE's for the NP242.

Honestly i'm not sure. Doesnt seem there would be much more machining involved vs a 231 shaft.

I run a Currie unit on my XJ, been perfect for 8 years and 35K miles now. It's a stock output shaft cut/tapped that you purchase through an exchange.

In other words Currie is charging you for the cutting and tapping. But it isn't any stronger or better engineered than your stock one that you hack n tap.

Maybe demand? There aren't that many 242's out there compared to 231's. All i ever hear about is 231's and every once in a while a 242 comes around.
