yes...rpm lower with bigger tires, just like faster mph and mor mileage on your guages...there are formulas for all this stuff... look at this chart, it will show you most every thing https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/ge...e-chart-67989/


i mean you will be traveling more miles than actually stated on your guages

.....but the op says 1800 rpm at 35 mph....that sounds like he's running go-kart size tires, not taller tires?????????

yeah im pushing around 1600 going a steady 25 MPH. with 32x11.5 tires on 15" wheels and 4 inch lift.

maybe he is in first gear!! hahah it does seem high for an automatic trans, i dont know what mine runs..this is what my dash looks like

Cheapest, probably finding a 4cyl XJ.. and swapping axles. Most had 4.10s, some had 4.56s.
Or, some of the 2,8L's had 4.10s

what is up with that dash!? lol how are up suppose to tell your RPM and now how close you are to redlining it.

yeah my buddy has a wrangler I4 with 4.10.

how much would an good axle with 4.10 cost? i heard dana 30 arent the greatest axles and i wanna put 1/2 or one ton on it sometime.

My XJ is an automatic..it does it by itself lol. my 88 mazda b2600 is a 5spd. manual with no tach.. wierd at first, but after a while you learn to listen to her "hum" and know when to throw the ****

That's the dash that flashes a red light when something's wrong. I've never seen a post saying "I didn't notice the red light when my engine overheated" but there have been numerous posts saying "I didn't notice the needle was at the red mark"............

That simple dash and a ScanGauge.....what could be better? Maybe a ScanGauge II?

i have 4.10 gearing with D30-35 and 33inch tires...lovin it!

i gotta say my jeep is far from gutless! she will cruise 2000rpm at 70 with no hesitation.
