So i was over on NAXJA today and found these. I love them. I think it would be a great idea for people looking for a ton of clearance on the front end!

The pictures arn't great but also I'm easily confused, so bear with me. It looks like this covers almost the entire front quarter and there seem to be a lot of odd bulges and overlap.


Is this the seem where the fender meets the quarter panel?



Or is this not a fender replacement but rather a quarter panel replacement? In any event, its hard to tell from these pictures but I think it would make the XJ look odd; a lot of straight lines and then a few small curves in a small spot.

Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me but I'd like to see what it looks like off the Jeep and some higher res pictures. Can you link the thread at NAXJA.

 

It does cover the entire front quarter, it replaces the entire front fender. This is definitely for hardcore offroaders who don't care so much about how precision fit it is, they just want the result of more clearance for offroading. Although, given to the right person, they could probably make it look like it came stock on the Jeep.

It sticks out farther to the sides to more easily accomodate wider tires, and the wheel well is designed much higher for more flexibility for the suspension without rubbing the tire on the fender. Also, no need for flares.

It's designed like a pre-runner front end.

 

Yeah I'm just thinking even if put on perfectly and done well, its still gunna look like quarter panels that have been pushed out. I just can't see spending $400 to put something on your XJ thats gunna make it look funny when you can just trim the fenders. I think anyone who buys this is more worried about looks than a hardcore offroader. Just my .02

 

agreed i would rather spend the coin on beer or something, racks bumpers ya know things like that

 

i think those are used more some for prerunner XJ's

 

x2, I think you would probably see those on the Jeepspeed XJs, though they would look cool on any XJ, the price is what kills me. Nice find though

 

They are a complete panel replacement. They give a lot more space. As far as what they are used for. Most of the people running them are pre runner setups. The pics I have seen with them on dont look bad. Looks pretty good. But it's all personal and what you want. I kinda like em.
This guy is running them and they don't look bad to me. But i all boils to personally preference.

From the side it doesn't look bad at all.


Even at this angel it doesn't really look bad, but it still looks kinda funky: straight line, straight line, straight line, bulge, straight line. But hey, its your XJ if you like it and have the coin, go for it.

 

They do make a lot of room up front.
But dam 400.00 I could do that with a stump,

I see mine in the future as

first time wheelin on a narrow trail you will regret buying them. same reason i wont buy bushwackers, they stick out too far, and arent very strong. i think thats crazyjims jeep from naxja...he's got a nice setup

 

For the guy that can't trim his own fenders... these would be fine...

 

some states require a fender covering your wheels...

luckily TN doesnt seem to be one!
