Default Sway Bar Link Connection Point Cut Off

Just bought a 97 XJ Sport, it came without a swaybar so I went to the junkyard and found one, bought quick disconnects, went to install and realized the connection point on the axle where the sway bar links tie into has been cut off!? Anyone know if there are kits that allow you to re-locate these? Or am I stuck cutting welding other ones on or swapping axles to be able to run a sway bar?

No kits that I know of. You will have to weld something on there to replace them

There are relocation kits that raise the mounting point a couple inches to clear 1 ton steering (for these kits, you cut the stock mounts off and weld the relocation mounts on); but I don’t know of any standard kits. Probably best off chopping mounts off of an axle if you aren’t lifted

Hmm, ok, thanks for the info, I’ll look into those relocation brackets, see if a shop can weld them on for a decent price.
