Can you assist? I am thinking on swapping a front axle from an 88 to a 99, because the old one got a locker. Is this just a bolt on swap or are there any other factors I need to consider? Oh and one more thing the old one is missing the sway bar links, I gess they need to be welded on, but where do I get'em?
just swap the locker from the 88 to the 99
the 88 has different brakes and wheel bearings and the much elss desirable vacuum disconenct axle shaft (which you would need to figure out how to get working with the newer model jeep, or buy/make a cable actuated system for it.

Thanks. So the 99 axle is better than the 88, right? Now if I want to keep my axle I need to change the balljoints, do I need to get the ones with angle offset?, to compensate camber or caster since I'm planning 6.5" lift, or I just replace with regular balljoints; Also how about the heavy duty ball joints, are they worth replacing with?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
