Default Sway bar

So, I bought a 98 jeep Cherokee from a friend that bought it from someone else.
I like the jeep and enjoy taking it out. I noticed death wobble every now and then when hitting a bump. I tightened everything and noticed no sway bar.
Wonder how ballsy the previous owners were to ride without it.
Called the local junk yard and found an oem sway bar as well as ordered rough country quick disconnect sway bar liks.
Barely learning all this 4x4 thing so I may be asking a few questions as I go along and if cannot find in the search menu.

I drive around with no sway bars with a leaking steering box and half busted TRE to pitman arm. I do not get death wobble even when doing 70. Even when I was doing 60 and had to swerve around someone who cut me off I was able to do it with one hand whilst the other hand rolled the window down to give the middle finger. Still no death wobble. It's good if you give us details about said jeep so we can help you find the issue

Is it lifted at all? Size tires? How many miles are on it?

I ran without a sway bar for a little but didn't care for it much. So I still have them in front and rear. Quick discos are a plus. My death wobble I had was coming from the TRE on the unibody side of my track bar being loose. Put a new TRE in and had it aligned and no more death wobble. Some say a new steering stabilizer will fix death wobble. Not all the time. There's a bunch of things that can lead to death wobble. Start simple first.

A steering stabilizer only masks DW. It doesn't cure it. So when the DW wears the stabilizer out because the original cause wasn't remedied, the DW will return

I have never had a sway bar on my jeep. I don't get death wobble at all. DW is attributed to bad control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, alignment, track bar, out of balance tires and wheel bearings. Start cheap and work your way up

No. diagnose then replace whats dead. Throwing parts at it is the most expensive way to fix a jeep.

Its a 98. Chances are, if it has stock parts, one or more needs replacing anyways.

It has over 200k miles. Tires are 33"s and has a lift. Bought it as is so trying to figure out the size of the lift and as I said before I am new to 4x4.
I found the track bar had play in it so I tightened it up and ensured everything else in the front was greased as well as tight. No more wobble when I hit a bump.
I did order quick disconnect sway bar links (should be here tomorrow) and got a OEM sway bar. I drive this jeep every now and then mostly on the road since going to any trails is quiet a drive through the city and don't want to have any issues with rolling it so I felt I needed a sway bar.
