Interesting. I've checked them out. Pricey. Are they really stiff, harsh, with a hard travel? Wish I had a bit more to go on.

Pricey but for a reason. They are a darn good shock. I don't think their stiff. I daily drive my jeep and love them. I had the rustys shocks before these and the bilsteins blow them out of the water.

OK. Is yours lifted any?
I shop around and see what I can muster up. I see a lot of folks seem to like them, the 5100 I think. Is this the only model, or is there one that might be a bit less performance oriented?

Lifted 2 inches. I'm not sure of their other products offered.

Alrighty then…finally decided and placed my orders!
After contacting both Bilstein and KYB, and discussing what I was looking for, Bilstein prevailed. I ordered the 4600 HD's. I also went ahead and ordered new leaf springs, Dorman 929-301's. They should all arrive first of next week, and then I'll get them installed right away, despite this freekin cold front!

Appreciate all the advise, guidance, suggestions and opinions, etc…!!!

UPDATE:

Got the Bilstein's and doorman springs installed, along with the front 2" spacer's removed. One of the BEST damn decisions I've made! This thing rides like a brand new one! Soft and smooth, yet firm and stable. It's really strange to actually feel a suspension again! No more harsh, hard hitting 1 ton feel, and no more climbing in and watching my poor ole Lab bang her legs from jumping in the back!

Thanks to the recommendations and advise! Awesome Bilstein's !

Eph, ya did! They are!

Oh, hey you're up in N. NM. Cool. I was there 08,09, and most of 2010. Live in the Sandia foothills, off Juan Tabo and Cooper. Love NM! I was always busy there, every weekend something to do, some place to go. Awesome jump off for some of the best skiing around! We'd ride up into CO, Ouray and travel the 4x4 trails; those were awesome trails! I need to come back and do it all over again!
