Default suspension lift/axle question ...

just out of curiousity... when u order your susp lift.. and they ask u what axle it is for... weather it be a 8.25 or d35... is the only difference the size of the u bolts?

i believe the d35 are 2 3/4inch ID.

and the chrystler is 3inch ID.

Does anyone know if thats the truth? TIA

You are correct on the only thing being the ubolt size. The measurements are correct. I have a local shop that makes ubolts for big rigs make my ubolts. They are stronger and are larger bolt diameter then what most lifts come with. The ones I had made made the RE ones look small.

The length depends on what you need to properly bolt the leaf packs in. If you get new leaf packs you will need longer then stock. I forget how long mine are. I can measure them if you want?

One thing to remember JCWhitney doesn't have the same level of warranty and such as what you will get from going directly through RC. Basically you will get better service through RC.
