Default Suspension Anatomy of a 99 XJ 4D

Ok....I'm COMPLETELY lost on the anatomy of my 99 xj's suspension. Here's what I have/am doing to the jeep so far

1) Front track bar was replaced-bolt flew out-scary
2) Was told I need new end links while getting the alignment done
3) getting my 2" rough country lift and new shocks put on professionally on Saturday

I would really just love a breakdown on my suspension's anatomy. Can someone do this for an XJ owner who is clueless? Thanks all!

If you pick up a haynes manual at your local auto parts store it shows complete pics of all the under carriage.

The Front: Coils-Height, Control Arms-Keep the axle attached to frame, TracBar-Keeps the axle centered under the Jeep, Swaybar-helps prevent Bodyroll and stabilizes it, Shocks-Keeps it rideable and stable and helps axle movement, Steering-well it steers it, Driveshafts-brings power to the wheels, Axle-what the wheels go on.
The Rear: Leaf springs-height and stability, sway bar-bodyroll and stability (you don't really need it), Shackles-helps up-down travel alleviates bounce, Shocks-Keeps it rideable and stable and helps axle movement, Driveshafts-brings power to the wheels, Brakes-stops the vehicle, Axle-what the wheels go on.

You forgot ,center link, drag link, & tie rod ends, pitman arm.
Honestly, your best bet is to buy the Chilton's Manual or one of the other types.
It will give you a complete breakdown (no pun intended)
