Default Surprise power steering leak...

Ok so during the midst of changing my radiator out I walked out to a major spot of power steering fluid underneath my jeep. I was able to track it down to the pump itself, on the back is what looks like a large snap ring and have verified that it is indeed leaking from there.

Now my question is can this be repaired? The pump worked fine but just suddenly started leaking, is there maybe a repair kit for it or would it just be less of a headache to buy a new one or get one from a donor cherokee?

I wish I could help you on this. But, personally I have never had one leak on me there and I don't know if the rebuild kit would have the parts to repair that portion. I'm sure someone will know and give you the answer that you are looking for. Good luck!

mine dis the same thing, every once in a while it would leak about a half cup of fluid out randomly. i put about a shotglass full of brake fluid in there to stop it.
i needed a new power steering box anyways so i diddnt really care if it messed it up.
but there are rebuild kits as stated above
