Okay my sunroof on my 98 XJ just cracks open and i have done everything from using epoxy to get it to stay shut to unplugging the open/close button to taping the button down to hold it shut and nothing works... anybody else have this problem? or any idea on wth is going on?

Does it vent open or slide back just a little bit? It sounds like a bad seal and/or bad tracks. You may have to replace the tracks and the weather seal.

That tells me that you need a new weather seal around your glass. It's brittle and hard and won't seal to the body. That's a pretty cheap and easy fix if you have the right tools.

Yeah I hope that is all too....I had a Monte Carlo that did the same thing, although that had a power sunroof, so it tilted up and then retracted. I tried to find the weather stripping surround, but I couldn't. Good luck, keep us posted!
