Sucked in mud in my 91
Went a little too deep the other night without a snorkel, sucked in mud. Luckily the jeep died nearly right when the front end buried. I got it home and cleaned the throttle body and intake to get the debris out. I then pulled the plugs hoping to be able to crank it and blow out anything that got into the cylinders. Went to crank it and it just clicks(click click click click). Battery is good as It was used to jump my buddies truck. So what do I need to check now? Is it the starter? I'm new to this so go easy on me.
Whats the best way to do this? I just pretty much assumed it was hydrolocked when I get mud on the plug of cylinder 1. I was wanting to try and blow that out by cranking it with the starter....but all I get is clicks
Yeah I'm thinking that has something to do with it. The starter was definitely submerged in water. Also, I noticed a perfectly round hole in the bottom, looks almost like something was meant to go in there and is no longer there....anyone know what that hole is? or is it supposed to be there? Sorry I am a noob to this mechanic stuff but gotta learn somewhere. Appreciate the replies!
