Default stutter and shake.

1987 cherokee 4.0 157k ish miles. Recently It stutters and stumbles only when it is cold and accelerating. Once it warms up it goes away and drives just fine.

I am guessing it is the distributor or something like that but I also wonder about bad gas. I ended up going and filling my tank up after the storm we had here. I would think bad gas would make it stumble all the time though.

Any ideas?

lol. true. Just recently started so It had me worried. New plugs/wires/dist cap all on the way next pay check. Just don't want to blow it up before then.

I replaced all that on mine, its been fine till now,I think caus its getting colder,I'll start it up, let it sit for a few, then pull away.I get to the stop light, stop and it idles down then dies.It fires right back up,I think its just cold blooded, cuz after its to temp it doesn't do it any more.

I think I might need new injectors too. Or at least one new one. One of them twists back and forth while the rest do not move.

It takes me awhile in the morning these days to get out of bed. I am twice as old as our jeeps though, let her warm up a bit see what happens.

Just and update. I let it warm up for about 10 minutes and no problems driving!

Just another quick update. It seems now that I do not have to let it warm up anymore. It just quit the previous behavior. Maybe it finally got all dried out or whatever but it seems to have gone away.
