As for getting it into 2wd, sorry man never played with the NP242

I had the lever at the 2WD part but it was in low ratio, hard to turn and it was jumping around and could only go slow, got it out of lo ratio and into high 4WD. Got it out by just re trying and trying with the lever and using some gas to free it up. Then After I got it in 4WD I again had to do some hard shifting with the lever to get it back into 2WD.
