Stroker kit help
who has done a Stroker kit for there jeep would like to do one but dont know who sells a good one
#2
I will be doing one and have researched a lot about them. The top ones seem to be:
Golen: http://www.golenengineservice.com/html/jeep.html
And a factory Mopar one at: http://www.moparsupercenter.com/jeep...xp515520x.html
Although I haven't heard one person who has gotten this yet and talked about it so I'm apprehensive.
HESCO also makes good engines but they are more pricey: http://www.hesco.us/shop.asp?action=...129&catId=7733
I'll be going with the Golen only because it's been tested and I've heard great things about their engines. I'm stearing clear of Titan engines as I've heard horror stories.
Hope this helps. Good luck

are you talking about a stroker kit to build a stroker, or a complete stroker engine? if it is a kit your looking for, it is far cheaper to source out and buy the parts separately than it is to get a kit.
i am planning on building a stroker soon as well(probably not until later this year or early next year), i would suggest checking out www.jeepstrokers.com and read. read, read some more.

Its far cheaper to buy the parts and build it yourself. No one makes a "kit" of parts to build it because poeple used different cams and rockers or even pistons and compression ratios

stock ecu is fine. there are kits out there, but they cost about 2x as much as buying the parts separately. and the thing is there really is not easy slap together kit with no thinking. you have to pick your parts and from them determine you deck clearance, what kind of piston dish you need/want, quench height and compression ratio(among other things). all of these will determine what kind of power gains you will get and what kind of gas you can run. thats why i suggested you go to the site i listed and do a bunch of reading, better to understand what direction you want to take first and then start ordering parts.
good luck with the build
good luck with the build
