I tried searching, but can't find comparable test results.
I have a P0122, tps low volt code.
Have replaced the tps with a Mopar part, but still read only .05- .2 volts, idle to WOT off the tps signal.
5v supply is good and ground is good.
When I check with the connector off the tps, I get 5v at both the signal and supply pins.
When I disconnected the ECU connector end, I get no continuity between the supply, signal or ground in any combination, so I guess no shorts in the harness.
Could the ECU be back feeding 5v to the signal wire and all I'm measuring is the difference in the two 5v feeds?
Anyone seen this before?
If so, is this fixable,or is it new ECU time.

 

Did you check for resistance in the wires from the ECU to the sensor?

 

Im excited to learn what you find. I've currently got the same code (same year xj as well) popping up, and I replaced the TPS but it hasn't fixed it. If anything it's worse than it was. I'm not much of a mechanic, so unless I can figure it out I'm going to put it in the shop.

 

I got about .3-.5 ohms.
