Strange rumble

Default Strange rumble

99xj. I have a strange rumble and soun coming from under my drivers seat when I hit a bump. I think it's the transmission mount. Not sure what to do next

Put the car up on jackstands and get under there with a flashlight. Put your eyeballs on it. If you can take a jack under there and use it to jack up the trans a bit, that's even better.

Check if the exhaust is hitting the crossmember next to the trans. The usual cause is a bad transmission or motor mounts. On a 20-year old vehicle, it's not surprising to have the rubber parts start crumbing. Grab the trans and see if you can move it around.
