Default Strange noise from Transmission

When jeep is in park, everything sounds normal. When I put it in drive , u hear a noise similar to the sound you hear when the power steering pump is very low of fluid. It comes form the torque converter area. Checked the trans fluid and seems ok. Took a picture of dip stick while idleing in nuetral. The trans fluid was at the O in OK. Any ideas. This is a new engine with a new torque converter.

Someautomatics will exibit noise when they have a restriction of fluid, ie. a plugged filter. Does the trans work ok? any fluid leaks? torque convertor damage the pump??

Yes the trans works ok, doesnt appear to ge any leaks. As far as torqueconverter damageing the pump, I dont know. I did not install the engine or the converter. Is the pump inside the tranny? If so It is the original with about 231,000 miles on it. I just wonder if its low on fluid.

from the picture, it looks like OK is right above "ADD" and Max is about an inch up the stick. I would add more fluid. Also, is the fluid in the trans totally new? If so, find out what kind the shop put in. They might of used ATF4, which is not good for it.
