strange factory radio problem

strange factory radio problem
hello, i have a 1997 cherokee sport 4.0L 4x4
it has the am/fm tape player in it
Here my problem, my FM does not work but my AM is crystal clear
yet my FM has static so it does work
any suggesttions anyone have a similar problem?

check to make sure the antenna plugged into the back of the radio is seated properly and check the connection at the antenna itself and make sure its the right antenna. other than that i would just get a new cd/fm/am deck.
