Default strange clanking noises

so the other day i went around a turn and then bang bang clank click boom. not really sure what happened but i can feel it clanking right underneath my feet when i drive.

heres the kicker, it only happens while moving. it gets faster the faster that i drive. (and i havent actually drove since). but if i put it in neutral or park and rev it up thers no clicking. so a little bit of debugging leaves me to believe its something on the driveshaft but when i went under the xj i saw nothing caught in it or anything so im at a total loss.

what do you guys think?

Something like that was happening to me and it turned out to be the u-joint all the way at the end of the front axle shaft which is kind of buried up behind the wheels so hard to really see. Just grab the end of everything and try moving it around.
