Default Stranded!! Turned on AC, sputtered and died, won't start

Basically what's in the title. I'm thinking fuel and a fuse. I checked the fuse bank under the hood buy all looked good.

Interior fuses look good too.

Are there any codes? Do you have fuel at the fuel rail? Are your spark plugs sparking? Do you know how to check those things?

Does it spin with the starter motor? First thing I thought from your title was a seized ac compressor.

Not sure on codes but I think no. I don't have a scanner.

I checked the valve on the fuel rail and there was pressure. Couldn't check for spark on the road.

Everything seems to be rotating on crank, just won't kick over. I can't visually confirm tho.

It's home now and I'll have to look at it more this weekend. Sucks, I just swapped the radiator yesterday and it drove good for about a 30 mile round trip after. Then this morning it was fine, lunch it was fine, left work, tried the AC and bam, nothing.

I was hoping it was some weird know thing with the AC causing some crazy deal. Or its just a huge coincidence.

When I test the CPS this is what I get. But I'm not sure if I doing it right, can someone verify the settings?

Turn the dial counter-clockwise 2 positions.

CPS Testing
.

TESTING PROCEDURE 1991 – 2001 4.0L H.O. engines

1. Near the rear of intake manifold, disconnect sensor pigtail harness connector from main wiring harness.
2. Place an ohmmeter across terminals B and C (SEE Image). Ohmmeter should be set to 1K-to-1OK scale for this test.
3. The meter reading should be open (infinite resistance). Replace sensor if a low resistance is indicated.

If your meter beeps at you, your CPS is bad.

If you want to test your col instead of shotgunning it do this test and inspect it for cracks.

Also, verify the O2S Heaters fuse in the PDC is not blown.

CPS part 2. Not sure of the result is good. I'll do the coil tomorrow, I had to leave.

There have been several reports of turning the AC on killing the engine. No one has posted a fix (that I know of). I'm still scratching my head on this one, but if it were me, I would be pulling connectors in the JB looking for corrosion (green stuff) in the sockets and on the connector pin cavities. Corroded JB's have caused some odd problems.

JB=junction box? And no fix like it will keep happening after abc is replaced?

Yes, JB is the Junction Block, in the passenger footwell.

What is "ABC"?

Just whatever breaks. Should have probably said "x" part. I don't know what went on my truck yet.

It's a long shot but the diode in the AC Compressor clutch may have crapped out and damaged the PCM when AC was selected.

Here's some pics that show the compressor clutch wiring and the diode, the method of testing the clutch ground, and the method of testing the clutch resistance.

Pic shows the resistance check on a bench. It can be checked like this when installed in the Jeep.

You might be able to check the diode with the resistance check set up but with the diode checker selected on your meter. I haven't tried this but I would think the meter reading should not show an open or full continuity.
